Query: In your 1850 Census, Joseph Logan, (Littleton township) Sr. is married to Elizabeth. In your 1860 (Littleton)Census, he is married to Jane...I find the marriage to Jane recorded in the IL Statewide marriage index. Jane is Jane Peckinpaugh, the same name but hopefully different Jane Pickenpaugh that his son Joseph is married to...since the ages of the Janes are different, I'm assuming they are relatives. My puzzle is Elizabeth Logan...I'm trying to find some record of her death or her maiden name would be great. --------------------------------------------------

Query: I am very new to the genealogy Circle. I hope this is the right aproach to my search. I am looking for any information on the Andrew Jackson Elmore family. Mainly His parents Thomas and Anna. Andrew was born 11/24/1839 in Schuyler county Illinois. He had 2 brothers William C. Elmore and John S. Elmore In 1861 he enlisted with the Sixteenth Illinois Infantry where he was later discharged. In August of the following year he re-enlisted in the Ninety-fourth Illinois Infantry, under Col.Orm and was wonded in the battle at Vicksburg. After his discharge from the army in 1865 he moved to Adair Counry Missouri and married Emma Caroline (Stand(e)ford)he lived the remainder of his life and passed away 01/15/1911 Thank you for any help. --------------------------------------------------

Query: I have a William J. Dawson thats father was John Dawson having died in Brown Co., Feb. abt 1866, William went to Michigan got married came back to be by his father. He had two children, Diane and John Milton. His wife had died. William J., Corporal, mustered out Sept. 16, 1865. Solena Black Reddick (with two daughters) and at least 1 more husband before she marries him. She died Solena Dawson 87y 22 Dec. 1902, Woodstock Tp. Langford Cemetery He was dead before her, but I can't find when or where he was buried. He was alive when she joined the Schuyler Co., Historical Socity. Sarah's husband (Elijah Peacock m:1841 Jackson Co IN) was remarried by the Schuyler Co 1860 Census. Elijah Peacock is supposed to be buried in Mt Harmony Cem (Davenport Cem) in Schuyler Co. Query: William Gregory (1807-1871)and his wife, Elizabeth are my ancestors that lived in Schuyler County, Oakland Township where Elizabeth died sometime between 1860 and 1870 and William on October 23, 1871. William's estate records state that his wife was buried on their farm as was a grandchild with the last name of Gorsuch, they and William's two children who were buried on Robert Aten's farm were to be moved to Vermont Cemetery when William died. There are reciepts for this move. William was to be buried at Vermont also and there is a reciept for his grave digging. I don't find a "Vermont" cemetery. Would you know where I might find records for it? I know the name may have changed. Also, there is a Bauer Cemetery in Section 19 and a Gorsuch Cemetery in Section 36 of Oakland Township. Where could I find the records for those? William Gregory's daughter, Julia Ann married Adam Bauer and his daughter Elizabeth Mary married a Gorsuch whose first name I haven't learned yet. William's daughter Sarah Ellen married a Berry. He had son's Hugh C. and John C. Whatever you find on this family I would appreciate having copies of and would be glad to pay for but if it will be more than $20 please contact me first for an okay.
